Samsung Galaxy Z Flip Overview | Worth the price ?? 🔥🔥
Finally, with the Beginning of 2020, Samsung has unveiled its 2nd Generation foldable smartphone which is Flipable horizontally unlike the Galaxy Fold which was Flipable
vertically. The 1st Generation Galaxy Fold faced many issues of screen breakage for which they called back all the review units as a result its demand decreased,
but according to reports this time this fold will not be facing any sort of issues as after the testing they have already started its mass production.
The Samsung Z Flip retails in the standard package.
The contents includes the Mobile handset, Galaxy wired earbuds, a Type-C OTG, a sim ejector handset,
a 15W charging adapter, a Type C to Type A charging cable and protective case.
The Galaxy Z Flip has a slim design unlike the Galaxy fold, the hinge here is way much improved than the previous generation as Samsung says they have used
hide away hinge which could be adjusted with the Sweeper Technology (Contains two sided brush which works each time it is folded)
which repels dirt and dust from the hinge and make it as smooth as your style unlike the Galaxy Fold and Moto Razr in which the dirt and dust settles inside the hinge and below the screen which could change the shape of the screen from the back and harm the screen, also it starts making noise. Samsung says it can survive till 200,000 folds.
The Screen Technology used here is the 6.7inch (Full HD+) Dynamic AMOLED screen or Infinity Flex display which is Samsung's first ultra thin folding "glass" which is much better
than the previous generation's smooth plastic screen that was prone to scratches and marks. It also contains the Infinity O-cut display that has In-screen camera which makes it look
more luxurious and 12.9:9 aspect ratio. The screen has a resolution of 1080 x 2636 pixels and 425 ppi pixel density and the body weighs just 183 grams which is not bulky.
It also offers the support for the HDR10+ certified contents and has an eye care feature which eliminates the extra blue light from the screen that harm the eyes.
Below that, at the bottom, it has Type-C charging port which supports very slow charging speed of just 15W. Just right to that it has its speaker grill and
sorry to say, the much needed beautiful 3.5mm audio jack is ditched! This Flip phone is having right side mounted fingerprint sensor constructed with the
power button just like the Poco X2, here it also triggers the selfie camera, when you double click it, it appears in the small 1.1inch AMOLED
'Cover Display' located at the left of the dual primary camera module, outside the fold. When the fold is closed,
the screen can be used as Mini-Functional display which can also pick or reject calls.
Inside the Flip this smartphone has the Snapdragon 855+ (Only in US and UK) which is not the latest though its one of the fastest chipset with the support of Adreno 650 GPU
and 8Gb of LPDDR5 ram and the In-built storage of 256gb, Overall the half screen-full control type of work will be much smoother without any laginess.
Going with the most needed camera, it has dual 12Mp Ultra Wide angle camera which comprises of F2.2 aperture and can shoot upto 123 degree wide pictures, and the other
12Mp camera is a normal wide angle shooter having F1.8 aperture which supports upto 8x digital zoom. The video camera supports video recording upto 4K and also
provides bokeh effect support including Samsung's famous Super Steady mode.
And the secondary camera inside the fold is a punch hole 10Mp camera.
Talking about the battery, it has "dual" battery of 3,300mAh which supports 15W normal charging (not the fast charging) which is not up to the mark unlike the other flagships, but compromises
have to be made. But for a standard, it has the functionality of wireless charging which also supports reverse
wireless charging. If you are not a heavy user, the fully charged battery can survive the full working day .
It runs on One UI 2 based on Android 10 out of the box.
This phone is launched in four different colors i.e. Black, Purple, Gold and a Special Iconic Thom Browne variant for the New York fashion week (Limited Edition)
.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip is priced at $1,380 (roughly, Rs. 98,400) which is very less and digestible as compared to previously launched foldable smartphones. The company says it will go on sale in limited quantities, starting from February 14 without any pre-booking, in selected markets.
The launch date for India is not yet confirmed Officially.
CONS:
Like the 1st Generation Galaxy Fold, the changed shape in the hinge is very much noticeable and could be disturbing because you need to swipe up and down again
and again. If you are a heavy user, the battery and its charging speed will surely irritate you as you will need to top it up more than
twice a single day and this is the Biggest Con. And the most overrated thing, the 3.5mm audio jack is missing here.
It is priced very well with regards of Foreign markets but it might not work in INDIAN market as everybody will not invest this much in Samsung's concept mobile phone.
